Hi everyone,
Today I am going to review Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen! It is for the Xbox 360, One, PS3 and PS4, alongside with PC on steam.
Since I do not have Assasin's Creed Odyssey, which I heard is awesome and really good, I will review this instead.
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a RPG that is set in the land of Gransys. It is a fictional world where the Arisen (you, the main character) has to go and slay a dragon who is causing terror.
The game is mostly single player. I'll explain what I mean. The game gives you a "pawn", which is an ally that goes around and gives you help, such as attacking enemies, or status buffs, or whatever the game may offer.
You go online by touching a "riftstone", which allows you to go to the Internet. You can then enter a covenant with a pawn from a different world, and then you can use that pawn to help you out as well.
There are nine classes in the game. Some items that the you can use can only be used by a certain class. If you cannot use it, then it just sits in the inventory.
That's the overall gist of the game, now I will go into the good and bad parts of the game.
Good:
The game is a lot of fun. I mean it. The combat is nice and fun. The skills also allow for the game to be played smoothly, and enjoyably as well. The game lets you grab enemies and throw them, which is a lot of fun to do.
The pawns also help out a lot as well, especially on higher levels. They can throw meteors , and heal you. It's endless.
Bad:
The pawns that I mentioned earlier are kind of bad. They do die a lot, even at higher levels. Also the NPCs in the game are annoying to deal with as well. The game they always "awkwardly" turn when they talk to you. It's weird.
The game also has a smaller weight limit. You have to carry items like an inventory, and it's very harsh. There is not always a lot you can carry, especially if you have heavy armor.
Overall:
I think that the game is a lot of fun. It is usually cheap on stores, and it is a lot of fun when there is not a whole lot to do. The game is a blast, and I highly recommend it.
I give it a 4 out of 5.
