Hi Everyone,
Today I am going to do a different post. It will be on how I feel about the Open Beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game that is coming out in a few months. So it will be just gameplay and impressions.
Let's Begin!

The game is a first-person shooter, known as FPS. Most people who have played Call of Duty know about this, but for those that do not, this is how you play the game.
There are several different mechanics in the game, from getting rid of your enemies, to climbing up ladders, to crouching so that you are not spotted. There is a different gameplay mechanic for everyone, so that comes down to playing the game, and going on from there.
The game feels really smooth. Smoother than the more recent Call of Duty games that have been out in previous years. In addition to that, the game FEELS Like Modern Warfare 4 (not the same as this game).
I did notice that the frame rate does drop dramatically in the Ground War gameplay, which is 32v32 people in one match. It makes sense given the number of people in the game, but the drop shouldn't be that bad. Then again it is a beta, so that may be fixed in the final game.
The normal gamemode, Domination had a really good frame rate. The main game will probably stay the same after the beta. I did not play the NVG mode, so I cannot comment on that.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has plenty of different guns to use. From shotguns to rocket launchers, the list is endless. I used Assault Rifles in my beta gameplay, but other options are viable.
I do not like the recoil though. There is a lot of that in the game. Way more than there should be in that. It is not a deal breaker, but it hurts for people who really like the Killstreaks, and are try-hards.
The maps are really nice, with many different paths to take, and many different objectives to take. I hope that the main game has just as many, because the game actually required a lot of strategy, instead of the fast-paced gameplay of the past.
I liked the beta a lot. It was really good to me, and depending on how the game is when it is released I may buy it, but that depends on the other modes that come with the game.
I give the beta a 4.5 out of 5. It is THAT good.

I like the beta as well. The biggest issue that I saw with it was in ground war there was a glitch where you could get under objective E. The gun gameplay by far is superior to most of the Call of Duty games. I think that when the full game comes out in November I will probably be a bum and do nothing for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI have not gotten a Call of Duty since Modern Warfare 2, but this looks good enough that I'll get it. It looks like they are really reinventing the modern-day shooter. The guns and recoil look great too. I enjoyed the classic COD campaigns, so I'm hoping that this one can deliver.
