Hello Everyone,
Today I am going to review Titanfall 2, for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC! It is a First-Person Shooter made by Respawn Entertainment, and is published by EA.
As usual, I will review the story, and the gameplay.
You are Jack Cooper. Militia Pilot. After a mission goes bad, you get a Titan named BT, and you both go on a quest to stop the IMC from destroying the Militia.
Along the way a group of mercenaries run by a dude named Blisk try to stop you. He sends a bunch of goons after you, and you have to survive the onslaught.
The story is very simple. Easy to understand in fact. What I do like about it is that the game gets very intense in certain moments, and the characters become very likable. Even the villains of the story. You get to understand why they do what they do, and how they do it. It made me super glad when I beat them and completed the story.
Even the gameplay elements are tied well into the story. The puzzles and platforming fit the game so well, and I actually enjoyed them. They never got old, even after I would replay certain levels.
Now onto the gameplay.
The game as mentioned earlier is a First-Person Shooter. It looks very similar to the Call of Duty games that everyone loves to play.
The difference between this and Call of Duty is the Double Jump/Wall Run, and the Titans, mentioned later on in this review.
The game has simple class customization, comparable to most shooter games. I used the grappling hook the most, and it let me reach parts of the map that I wouldn't be able to otherwise.
As mentioned before, after a certain amount of time (whether that be points or kills), you get a personal Titan to use. Each Titan is of a different class, and each have different strengths and weaknesses. My personal favorite is the Ion. It was super strong, and helped me out when I needed it.
Sometimes the maps are good for the Titans, and sometimes they are good for the Pilots. It really depends on the playstyle and map choice.
Sometimes the game gets too chaotic, but that is rare. I actually love the multiplayer and everything about it. I would be able to play for hours, and not get bored.
I liked this game. It was fun.
I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
